June 5, 2014

The President of Kazakhstan stressed an importance of the Council for our country and the member-states, having noted that the economic, humanitarian and cultural cooperation have a favourable influence on the dynamically developing relations. Besides, he informed that the meetings with the heads of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Turkey gave an opportunity to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral relations.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that a variety of issues were discussed at the session held, the main of which devoted to an issue of the tourism industry development.

- Turkey went far in tourism, and we came to an agreement about adoption its practices and training personnel in Turkish universities, - the President of Kazakhstan said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that starting from this year, an issue of the joint development of a single information space would be considered.

- I proposed to consider an issue of creation of a special satellite TV-channel, which would tell the whole world about Turkic speaking countries, our culture and history. Besides, by means of this we could attract the attention to our state, including the industrial programme of Kazakhstan, - Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The President of Kazakhstan has also stressed the absence of any contradiction between the Turkic Council and the Eurasian Economic Union.

- The EEU is open for other states to join. For example, Turkey and other countries could become associate members of the organisation. Moreover, this issue is a prerogative power of all member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union, - Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The head of state has also noted that Armenia and Kyrgyzstan are planning to join the Union, and a number of countries are interested in developing trade with the organisation. At the same time, he stressed that it was necessary to work at its further strengthening.
