Addressing participants of the ceremony, President Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated all the people of Kazakhstan on the upcoming Independence Day, stressing the importance of the event for those who received honours and awards.
Within a short historical period, we have come a long way to strengthen the state, develop our economy and raised a new generation of Kazakhstanis. Today we are implementing industrial-innovative programme, this year the third Kazakh astronaut went into space, while Kazakhstan has become a full-fledged member of the World Trade Organisation. Despite the difficulties in the world economy, we have done a lot. The success we have achieved has become possible due to the efforts of all people of Kazakhstan. Awards and honours are the sign of high recognition of those who worked hard during all these years, as well as of achievements of our fellow citizens,” he said.
The Head of State stressed that state awards were presented to the people working in the field of culture, science, education, health care, as well as representatives of the manufacturing sector, business, law enforcement officers, military personnel, athletes, veterans of war and labor and civil servants.
Decorations and medals will be awarded across the country on my behalf. Each of you has the experience and achievements in the work for the good of our country. Each of you can be rightfully called the pride of Kazakhstan. Everything we have achieved has been accomplished due to your work. We must honour the working man, so I would like to emphasize the achievements of people who have received the Order of Labour. Let this be an example for the workers who create the economic power which ensures the development of all other areas,” he added.
